Title: Snorting
Post by: peterparker on February 22, 2012, 03:04:03 PM
We have been away for awhile and I haven't had access to the net. Anyways I'm home now. While we were on vacation we had to leave Parker at a kennel for 8 days. We picked him up this morning, and he was very happy to see us. However, he is blowing through his noise. Sort of like snorting. He's doing it all the time. Might he have picked up a virus? Any ideas what he could be doing. He has never done this before. He has been imunized and had his bortella shots, and kennel cough. It's just a snort, no cough. Any ideas out there?

Dis is Parker: I was in pwison. I had play time wif udder puppers, an massages, and got some new fwnds. We was all i fink incarcerated for being bad or sompin, but I'm a good boy. I was sure happy to see da Momma dis morning.

I would take him in to the vet right away since he was around allot of dogs maybe the start of Kennel cough ,there is a dog flu going around. Dogs do not do well if they get pneumonia so better to be safe than sorry. Rays,Hugs and hope goes well if you go to the vet.

You might have the vet check for a (I can't think of the name----durn it) a thistle thing up his nose.  Come on, what is it that dogs snuffle and it flies up their nose?  My brain is such Swiss cheese these day.  Anyway, have the vet look up his nose for any debris.  RAYS to NOSEY Parker.

I would get all possible info from the kennels  both about the other dogs, foodstuffs, plants and cleaning materials and definitely get him asap to your vet for a good check over. Please let us know how the little fellow gets on.

That's what Porky does on days his allergies are really bad!  Could be something as simple as allergies, but I would definitely get it checked out by your vet. Feel better soon Parker!!!

Simon has allergies too and he snorts quite a bit when they're bothering him.
