:meme: He's tryin' to be a Hanukah menorah, but he only has five candles and he needs nine.*
He's long enough - I wonder where the other 4 went!
I found this in Huffington Post's Chicago page. The Heller House is a Frank Lloyd Wright design that is on the market for $2.5 million. For that much money, they can throw in the extra 4 candles!

* And a kosher Hanukah menorah has to have all 8 candles in a straight line and the same height.** Just another bit of interesting Jewish trivia!
** The 9th candle is the servant candle and is usually higher. :thumb:
That is so cute! I wanna see it closer..
To see it closer if you are on a PC, try holding down the control key and then scroll the mouse wheel forward to zoom in on the photo.
Would not surprise me to find there is a connection between Hannelore Heller and this house.
She has been a top dachshund handler for a very very long time. She is no longer a handler but does raise some dachshunds. She also moved out east, so is no longer in Illinois!!
once Mike explained how to zoom in, I loved it. (and am sad to report that I broke my dachshund brown ceramic cracker dish one day last summer while cleaning the top of the refrigerator - sniff!)
I bet you can find another on ebay. I have to laugh I found one of the blue willow ones for sister on EBAY. At the time there were a lot on there but they were mostly going for abut $25-30. I discovered one posted as a blue willow dog. It closed at $10 or less when I won it!! Funny part is i was hunting dog postcards at local antique store, and was talking about doxies to the owner. Told him about the blue willow I got sister, he says well, its not blue willow but I do have one. Mine is brown and it was only about $6. Sadly after going through 2 different dressers full of postcards, did not find any doxie ones.
