Title: Happy New Year (a day late)
Post by: Teresa on January 02, 2012, 07:26:15 PM
Schatzi, Randy and I want to wish everyone here a Happy New Year. We have been busy dogsitting for the last 8 days. Schatzi is probably going to sleep for the next week! I think she forgot what it was like to have another dog in the house, and Molly was never very energetic. We had a lab mix that was about 5 years old who thought he was still a puppy most of the time. Barney was super sweet and loved to play with Schatzi, but also knew when it was time to quit. After having dogs that were either small, or if they were bigger, they were short and wide like the bulldogs, it was a little hard to get used to one that had long legs! He just seemed sooo big sometimes!
Barney and Schatzi always would play in the evenings, and always on our bed. Probably because Schatzi knew she had backup there. Tonight, before Barney left, I managed to get a couple of pictures. Since I put them together on the bed, they decided to have one last play session. You will notice Schatzi looking like she is having fun in the first picture. In the last picture, she looks fierce. I caught her in mid growl as she won and ran Barney off the bed. That is is nose you see on the very edge of the picture. It was hilarious to watch. Now that he is gone, I think the house may seem a little too quiet. We will see if Randy changes his mind about being a One Dog family now.
