Title: Ringing Door Bell On Television!
Post by: Kelly on August 09, 2011, 12:57:36 PM
Earlier this morning I was watching reruns of Animal Cops Houston and either on the show or during a commercial a door bell rang and the Graham Cracker 5 Bunch ran to the front door barking and carrying on!

here its about 6pm and usually a fri  and you bang a spoon in a bowl or pot while making dinner and they both think Aunty Jane and the boys have come up for dinner. You have to open the door and let them see "no one there" and they march away happy and sit and watch the front door from the kitchen doorway.

That's hilarious! And even funnier when they walk away like "it was nuthin',  Dude".
That is how I knew Hallie had been in a house before I got her from the shelter, when a doorbell rang on TV she would run and sit at the front door. And I don't have a doorbell so she didn't learn it here.

Rudy & Max could have cared less when they heard a doorbell on TV.   Zeke and Zora, though will bark...especially Zora.

There is one commercial with a doorbell that I have to mute as soon as I see it, otherwise, the 4-pack goes bonkers!  Well, to be fair, it's actually the two Bs - Brekke and Bastian are my barkers, while Robinton and Rowan are relaxed.

:thinik: I think the reason that Max and Rudy-angels never reacted to the TV doorbell while the Z's do is due to the advances in digital audio technology.

When a dog barks on my Apple computer, Merlin and Beau will go crazy looking for the phantom dog. Merlin will even go behind the computer to see if the invader is on the "dark side." LOL!!

From years ago, I recall our dogs reacting to the "Get the door, it's Domino's" commercials with the prominent doorbell sound.  Every time.  Every Single Time. :)

HA! Reminds me of when we were walking Hallie and Ilsa and Ilsa went behind the bushes. Hallie saw the bushes move and, apparently, forgot Ilsa was with us. She starts barking at the moving bushes. DD and I were looking, trying to figure out what she was barking at. Ilsa jumps out of the bushes to back Hallie up. When Hallie sees Ilsa, she pops back around and starts trotting at DD's side ... "Just wanted to make sure you guys knew Ilsa was in the bushes."

We have a commercial like that her too. Its a Dex commercial and Porky goes nuts every time it comes on.  We don't even have a doorbell and never have!!   :idiot: When we stayed with my parents, they have one, so apparently he remembers that means people are coming to the house. Now when he hears that commercial he gets excited thinking baby James is here.  I have to take him outside and prove no one is here before he will calm down.   They should have a warning message before they play that commercial so I can mute my tv in time.   :2funny:
