Daughter Amy came up for a visit the past couple of weeks, just to get away from the house, since Nick is now deployed to the Middle East. Also "visiting" was her new puppy, Goober, a jack russel mix. Nick got him from a shelter to keep Amy company while he is gone I felt so sorry for Ozzy, as he tried to compete with Goober for Amy's attention. Unfortunately, but understandably, Amy had to pay more attention to Goober, as he is quite a handful. Ozzy and Goober did get along, unless Goober was pestering Ozzy, then there was some snapping and growling.
Anyway, you can almost see the relief on Ozzy's face now that he realizes that Goober is gone. I think I'll treat him to an afternoon of grooming and lots of attention from the groomers.
Sometimes spending times with a crazy cousin DESERVES special treats !!!
