Title: What do you dream of?
Post by: Gail on June 26, 2011, 03:56:28 PM
Ivy menace was sound asleep in the crook of my arm this evening when her little tail started wagging like crazy in her sleep. I would really love to know what she was dreaming about. Mr T sometimes runs in his sleep but I've never seen him wag - do any of your babies wag while sleeping?

What else do your furbabies do in their sleep (no need to mention passing wind, Tris was sorry about that and we'll say no more) and what do you think they are dreaming of?

After the last time out to go do their jobs I put Blusky in on my bed if I'm still watching TV and playing on the computer and when I move him over he'll start growling at me as if I'm interrupting a good dream!
Have a good week! :hello2:

Patches also wags her tail in her sleep along with barking, growling once in awhile kicks her legs but not often. Buddy growls, whines, moans & groans makes all kinds of nosies. Sometimes they wake me up because they both sleep in my bedroom Patches on the bed with me Buddy in his own bed next to mine.

All my furkids, past and present, have made muted barks in their sleep.   When they have awoke from their dreams unexpectedly, they always seemed to be disoriented, not quite understanding that what was going on in their mind was just that...going on in their mind.

Mine bark, whine, growl, run, jump, bite, wag their tails, swipe at imagined bugs on their faces...  They seem to have a very active dream life.

Porky whines, barks, runs, and wags his tail in his sleep. He occassionally snores too.  My husband and I have gotten awakened by Porky's dreaming before and it always makes me wonder what on earth he is dreaming about.

This one is a very long ago and far away dream BUT way back when sister and hubby were down to only Moosie the doxie my sister managed to talk hubby into getting Zeke!  At that point Moosie was I think  17 and going downhill. He had arthritis and not sure if his mouth cancer had come back yet or not.

Anyway Moosie(technically Hansel but we called him moose) and Moose liked Zeke even when Zeke would go snuggle up to him and tip poor Moosie over!!   Then the mouth cancer came back and they could not give him aspirin because of the cancer. So finally they had to take the final visit to the vet.I stayed home with Zeke and was holding and snuggling with him.  He was sleeping soundly and suddenly I think it was exactly 3pm he started wagging his tail furiously and sort of made his "hello" greeting he always met people with.  When sister got home we talked and that was the exact time that Moose left!   So we both believe he stopped and told Zeke goodby on his way to rainbow bridge!!  That was over 20 years ago and I still remember it!!

Our Max had his great adventure so far, as we take hike in the south. As he get more tired, he sleep deeper and longer with sometimes little barks but not tail wagging.

That's one of the loveliest things ever! When my mum was dying, she was on quite a lot of morphine and was chatting to someone that no one else could see. My brother asked her who was there and she replied that my dad was there but that he couldn't stay though he was coming back for her later. She died that afternoon. xxxxx
