overnighted to Sacramento) hopefully tomorrow, and retroactively as of June 4. If you didn't see my FB post, I had my District Office sign off on me today as I turned in my letter of resignation. I have been pondering this for several weeks, and decided now was a good time.

I hope you have a very happy retirement. The school system will miss you and your many talents even if they don't know it. The "herd" I'm sure will love having their mama at home full time. Enjoy!

First I did not know you were on facebook!! I just joined there after i bailed from my job!!
Just tried to find you on there, and was not sure what name to look for!!
I don't care what management says....... they are losing TOO MANY great teachers and other "public servants" in what they are doing, and sadly education is being hit way too often. In a decade or so they will be whining that the kids are not learning what they need to in schools!!
Am sure you will enjoy being home, and will be able to spend more time enjoying reading and gardening!! For me that hardest part has been putting a structure on my time, but with your dachsies if you don't do it they will do it for you!!
Best wishes from here!!
WOO HOO! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: Congratulations!!
(I have to wrok for another 21 years, 11 months and two weeks. Unless I hit the lottery.)
It's time to enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes for a long and fulfilling retirement.
Thank you, everyone! So far, so good! I turned in my papers yesterday, and they were faxed to Sacramento - they should have had them at 7:30 this morning, so unless there is something unclear, or I inadvertently left out something they didn't catch at county, it should be good to process.
There is that "Oh, good, Mom is home, so we don't have to use the dog door, because she has nothing better to do than be our door monitor!" thing happening. I have taken 14 bags of clothes, sheet sets, towel sets, and purses to Goodwill, but there are still 2 closets, the attic, and some fine-tuning to do in the garage. My younger goddaughter is moving south to finish at a four-year college, so that takes care of a toaster, lamp, and a set of casual china - I am cleaning up, clearing out, and tossing things.
I love to de-clutter :thumb: Enjoy !
Congratulations, now you have so much time!
