This was on the News here a veterinarian was on the news said some dogs are getting heart worms even taking the once a month medications the Heart worms are getting resistant to the medications mainly in Georgia another state in the south. Most likely headed this way to Oklahoma and other states as well. The stupid news man said well just keep the dogs away from Mosquitoes wonder how you are suppose to do that ?. Avon Skin SO Soft ????
That is scary - what ARE you supposed to do..... Mississippi, La - so many states that have tons of mosquitos....
Have no idea what you are suppose to do Heart worm is suppose to be in all states Oklahoma has all kinds of Mosquitoes too some one on DT ( Doberman Talk ) swears by a spray they mix up
1.) 1 Large lemon with thick rind thinly sliced
2.) Sprig of Rose mary
Pour nearly boiling water over the Lemon & Rosemary let steep over night, strain pour into large spray bottle.
You can make more you can also freeze it.
Says you can add a teaspoon of tea tree oil if you dog has dry skin also add a Tablespoon of Aloe Pulp.
(I personally have read where tea tree oil is dangerous to use on dogs ? so I would research it first).
I wondered if adding Avon Skin So Soft Oil to the d-lemone & rosemary would help get rid of mosquitoes ???
It says this is good to spray around your pant legs when going out into the woods keeps bugs off of people too.
That's so alarming. Hope there would be deeper study for medication and of course better preventive products like mosquito repellants..
That really is terrifying. We are lucky here in the Pacific NW we don't have heartworm but we often travel where there might be.
