Title: Bonnie Tonight After The Teeth Cleaning-Some Advice?
Post by: BonniesMom on June 03, 2011, 11:07:01 PM
Bonnie is being such a trooper after coming home from her emergency dental (read update in "health concerns"----where I posted on the wrong forum.  Should have been the one for RAYS. Anyway, she seems to be possibly running a slight fever (nose warm) and she sometimes makes whimper noises, but not all the time.  We weren't sent home with any pain meds, just antibiotics.  She had an scrambled eggie for her late supper.  If I gave her half a benedryl (or B knockoff), would that be a bad thing?

Maybe once she's in her bed, she'll sleep.  Maybe I'm just being a worrywart mommy....as usual.  Don't ya hate it when they don't feel good?

Might be able to give a baby aspirin 1 or 1/4 Ascription it has Maalox in it so the aspirin will not upset her stomach she should be fine tomorrow. If you get some Petslife at Pet mart you can brush her teeth everyday keep her toothies  in great shape.Good Luck

Parker didn't seem too stressed after his cleaning, and 8 extractions. I think I was more upset then him. He was on antibiotics, but was still chasing his ball. He kept forgetting his mouth was too sore to pick it up, so he would drop it very quickly. That was all we noticed about his sensitivity. Two days later he was fetching soft balls. We held the kibble and bones back for two weeks.
He loves having his teeth cleaned. He gets right up on my knee when he sees the toothbrush and shows me his teeth.

Parker!  Do you really show your teefs when you're about to get a brushing?  Now THAT I'd like to see.  Too funny!
