I think we need to keep Joplin Missouri in our thoughts and prayers after the deadly tornado. Most of you know Sue Shumard.Well she lives in Jasper near Joplin!
Definitely. I have family in the Joplin area. So far we have heard from one, but not my Aunt Elnora and her family. Keeping them and all the others in my prayers.
Absolutely. Here's praying Sue and everybody out there is safe and well.
Rays to all that need them in any of the storms.
Rachel Maddow had a bunch of information on her blog today. if you go to this link the first thing on her page today is a list of sources to contact to help. one of the comments on that item also has information on rescuing the displaced animals.

Darcel
Absolutely - it is horrific...... And Darcel - so glad all your family has checked in !
Hard to believe how much devastation there is in a small city!! Also amazing how many people DO have some type of connection to either the city or people there!!
Sadly it seems like there are way too many people still missing!!
Wonder if the doxie we saw last week at DCA is headed for that tornado? She searches for dead people, and although they are now still working on finding people alive, it is likely with that huge area this one might be needed just to give people closure!! For some reason I cannot think of the doxies name, but it was a beautiful little wire doxie.
Heard and seen on news how devastating what happened there. Glad your friends and relatives there are fine and safe.
You are so right - I've been thinking about Sue since I first heard. Jasper is where my very first "all my own" dachshund boy, Fritz, was born - back in 1971. Rays and prayers to all those there.
