Title: mum left us in an abulance this morning.............
Post by: Roberta on March 18, 2011, 08:06:47 PM
 but she did come back though a few hours later.

I had a sudden onset of central chest pain that went through to my back. Out here they say don't wait call an amulance, better to look foolish than dead. My Dad from a massive out of the blue heart attack and all his brothers in their mid to late 60's.
Bottom line heart is that of a 25 year old lungs clear. I do have a hiatus hernia, but it has not played up in 15 years and never like to-day, but they think it may have ulcerated so I'm off to see my own Dr on Mon. So I now have a massive headache from the nitro patch.
My poor sister rang up and thought it was Nick and then when they started they had to stop and try and get a line in, in case they needed it outside her place. She said she freaked as they usually stop to stablize.
Monsters gave them heaps from the yard, and not letting me out of their sight. Ollies pev'd as he missed out on his walk...............

Good GRIEF Roberta!!! What a way to shake up the day! So glad you and your  are both A-OK. Scary stuff. What will they do about the ulceration, if that is what it is, do you know yet? What was it like riding in the ambulance? I'll bet the kids were singing along with the siren out back.

Goodness Papbouv, you drove yourself in to the hospital??????????

they wanted to send me home with some tablets to decrease acid production, but I said I would rather speak to my own Dr, plus it was an intern and the sister was more knowledgable. So I will speak tomy rheumatologist as she is the one who handles most of the drugs I take. Maybe another gastrocopy. When I used to get trouble with the hiatus it was  gradual build up and I had eaten something, but I have had no problems for years.
The ride was bumpy on the dirt roads till they hit the tarmac and diffrent looking out of the side and back windows. Apparently they had been on the way to a stingray attack on a fisherman and they got me.

ps will not be doing that again in  hurry.

Why do these things happen on the weekend and you have to wait to go see the doc. Such a relief it is not your heart though. I hope you don't have to be put  through a bunch of tests.

Yes! No more ambulance rides, I'll bet they cost a bit more than a cab!

Not fun, Roberta!!  Glad that you are okay!  Ambulance rides are definitely not fun!  Bet the furkids were thinking/barking..."hey, where are you taking our Mum??????  Mum, what about our walkies????  You can't take our Mum, we need to go for our walkies!!"  Hang in there, Roberta......we'll keep the positive thoughts coming your way. dee

A) Your hernia is definitely NOT on hiatus! (See Webster's, all you dingbts!)

B) Ambulances are no fun - nothing like being slung about at every twist and turn of the road. I've gone to the E.R. five or six times via "bus" and I'd rather crawl than go again. :ambulance:

C) Singing dachhunds are THE best chorus boys 'n' girls! :sunny:
