Mom found what is called Tagnabbit....quick release tag holders. She got them for our tags so she can switch our "medals" from our collars to our harnesses. They work really cool. She remembers seeing in one of the posts that you inquired about them (I think it was one of DeeDee and Hallie's posts). She picked up two extras and wants to know if you would like them?
Also, she almost has the Hungry Caterpillar quilt done for the new hooman Grandbaby that is suppose to arrive in August. She has to do the binding and then tie it and it will be done! Our hoosissie saw the quilt last night (it was suppose to be a surprise but she was looking at Mom's new camera and saw the picture of the top and said she didn't know if she was suppose to see it, but she loved it.) Since she saw the pic, Mom showed her the quilt in it's "unifinished" state. She also saw all da other stuff that Mom has been sewing on for da grandbaby. On March 22, we will get to find out if the new hoo-grandbaby is a boy or girl! We're all 'cited......well, Mom and Dad are...... We think with all this grandbaby stuff, we (Sarge and Duggie) should get equal amounts of stuff!!!!
Sarge and Duggie

Roberta, I will get the tagnabbits ready to send off to you. They work really well and are a great thing to have. The tags will hang a tiny bit lower than the ring attached to the collar but being able to switch them from one collar to (in our case) the harness is so worth it. Doesn't bother Sarge or Duggie at all with the length...it's not that much different. Now when Sarge and Duggie wear their harnesses, their collars can come off and I just clip their tags on the harness ring. Much more comfortable for them.
I'll get them sent soon. We've been on the go with Dave receiving physical therapy to strengthen his muscles and to improve his walking due to the MS. Several appointments every week but it is paying off. So, between appointments, I've been sewing and keeping the house up and making sure that the two "Kings" are happy and content. Sarge and Duggie are so enjoying the coming of the spring weather.....they can now explore their yard as all the snow is gone and it is starting to warm up at least during the day. Now, if the ground will dry and not be soggy, they would be much happier as would I especially when they come in and leave muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor! And then give you the look, of what's your problem??? So, we've been exploring the wet, dirty ground......it's our job and right to do so!
That is so sweet of you to be collecting a few things. We are so excited for the grandbaby and even more so to find out the gender. I've been making everything in neutral colors right now....although I did make one blanket that has much more pink in it than I planned. The reverse side, however, is geared towards the blues, greens, yellows. I had planned to get the Hungry Caterpillar done before now, but I wanted to get some of the Hungry Caterpillar Encore fabric for the backing and it finally came in stock. So that, arrived last week and as the boys mentioned, I just need to finish the binding and tie it which I plan to do this week. I also used fleece for the batting as you suggested earlier. I love how it turned out. I will take a picture of the finished quilt and post it for you. Cassie and Sean fell in love with the quilt when they saw it Sunday evening. They know the panel came from you. The baby will be spending al lot of time with us as we will be the designated day care "babysitters" for the little one when Cassie and Sean are at work. That is the plan right now....will save them some money for not having to pay day care costs. They are both teachers so the have the summers off which means the baby would be with us Monday-Friday from September through May minus school holidays.
