I have have developed achilles tendonitis on my left ankle. Among the things that I need to do to treat it is wear a night splint, which stretches the tendon out. Usually, I either wear this when I set at my desk in the office, or working on the computer downstairs. Last night, I put it on upstairs as I sat and watched TV. Both Zs were very curious regarding this rather medieval contraption. Once I put it on my leg and sat down, Zora immediately set herself up next to me, and remained either next to me or in my lap for the next two hours. This is a bit unusual as Zora is definitely a "Mamma's Girl" and follows Margie around incessantly, even sticking with me when Margie sat down next to me. It was like Zora felt it was her duty to make sure I was ok. I thought this was funny as Zora's original owner, Yamisi, is now studying to become a nurse. Maybe our puppers do adopt the personalities of their hoomans!
Zeke was hanging out with me for a while, too, but that is nothing new for him. He stuck around until I broke wind, which he apparently finds offensive and retreated back to the bedroom to snooze. I can sometimes coax him back out "C'mon Zeke, I won't fart again!".
Good Girl Zora !!! LOL at Zeke..... he sounds very proper
And I thought they called you "toots" because you played the sax. :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
Seriously, Zora is a good girl to keep you company and supervise your recovery. Our furkids can be a real comfort sometimes. to Zora.
One of the dogs I had before I found Dachshund Rescue was a terrier mixed and would get upset whenever something was bothering me and put his front paws on my shoulders and look at me as if he was asking whats wrong!Thne he'd start kissing me as if to make it all better!
Tonight, I was trying to fix a broken metal closet door when the entire weight of the door fell on one of my fingers. It hurt like heck! As I was writhing on the ground in pain, both Zs came up and started licking my face. It wasn't exactly what I wanted. Once I regained my composure, I cleaned up the wound and began icing it down. Once again, Zora took up a post right next to me and kept staring at me and sniffing towards the finger. Good girl!
yes that is a good girlie. DAvid I feel your pain as I managed to gt my finger stuck when I was moving large rocks in the garden, bruise is now half way down my nail
