Dis is Parker: Momma and Daddy are finally home from Cuba. It was terrible for me. I missed my Momma. I was berry sad and my brudder didn't fink I was eating so he called Momma in Cuba on da 4th day. Dey didn't come straight home   I don't fink dey were worried cause I was dwinking and pooping. Dey told him to gib me slibbers of chicken wif no skins. I can't resist chicken slibbers.  I jus sat in Momma's chair and was weal sad, and I barely played at all. When dey finally came homes I gab dem da silent tweatment. Dey didn't eben notice cause dey were so busy bwing in da cases, weading da mail and phonin people. I was berry good all week and didn't eben mess in da house or anyfing. After an hour of da silent tweatment I jus couldn't help myself and cuddled wif Momma all night. I eben got to sweep in da big bed wif Daddy.!!!!
Parker's Mom here: Good heavens, the little stinker put on quite a performance. We had heart failure when we got the phone call as Rye was only told to call if there was an emergency. Pedro brought us a message while we were on the beach to call home. I was freaked. Then it turns out that Parker is refusing to eat. Hmmmmm, still pooping. When Rye is at work, Parker is put in the laundry room where there is a big unopened bag of kibble. Hmmmmm, could he have chewed a hole in the bag. Yuppers. The little rascal. However, Parker never does well when I am not home. Even when he is home alone with my husband, he sits in my chair and mopes. As soon as I come in the door, he drops the ball at my husband's feet and is ready to play for the rest of the night. He is friendly to everybody, as long as I am in his sites. Such a needy little fella.
We had a great time in Cuba, got lots of sun,did a dive and got OUT OF THE SNOW!!!!!!!!
Do you ever talk to Parker over the phone I know when My Grandpa was in the hospital and Bobby his Beagle mix would not eat. Grandma would call Grandpa at the hospital she would hold the phone up to Bobby's ear Grandpa would talk to him then the little brat would eat. Worth a try if you have to go out of town or be away know it sounds dumb but it worked for Grandpa's Bobby. Try it at home let him get use to you being on the phone have hubby hold the phone to Parker's ear.
Ooooh Parker, this is your friend Bonnie. You have done very well, my little buddy, of giving your mommy and papa a heart attack. And that show you putted on. THE BEST!!! :apls: And slibbers on chicken, YUM YUM!!!! Sounds like your mommy and papa are very sorry that they left you and will NEVER do dat again.....right?
Welcome home, Little Dude. Oh! Good job on the food bag!! :thumb:
Bonnie
Well, yes, I have been known to call home at lunch and tell my little brats to behave! (And then some people who have known me for years - like some of our regular substitutes will say, "I didn't know you had children!", so I say it's my furkids...) I have talked to my canine niece over the phone, so yes, I'd say that could work if you're gone on another trip and Parker pretends not to eat!
Sounds like a wonderful time....And PETER - so glad your family is home :hello2:
Ohh poor Peter breaks your heart when they put the moves on you like that. Glad you had a good time though and now everything is right in Parkers world again! :hello2:
