Finely got to give Patches a bath so behind on toe nails while I was in the hospital so went off to get the nails cut the scale was just standing there knew what the results would be.Yep Patches back up to 14.2# & big brother 96# so going to buy a big bag of green beans for Patches. Do not have to worry too much about Buddy he will loos weight in summer he does not eat much in summer too Hot here.Patches will eat anytime anywhere anything.
It can be scary to put them on that scale! I'm sure you'll get the weight off her fast with the green beans. (just don't put mayonnaise on them LOL). It's so hard to put them on a diet.
No Mayo maybe a carrot once in awhile for a change. Yes I know I'm a mean Momma going to try something new talked my new doctor into a walker with a seat want to try going back to the park to walk the dogs.I use to walk the dogs for years and years miss it very much. I hope all of us can loose weight if I cannot breathe I can sit down if my back has one of its fits I can sit for a bit then start up again. Have a cell phone new pepper spray + a very loud dog whistle maybe I can carry my Air Horn too & a 96# Doberman so should be OK. Hubby does not want to be seen walking a dog or be seen with me using a walker.Heck I do not care what other people think if hey do not like what they see do not look see told you I was mean.
You are not mean at all, I used to care what people think but the older we get I think the less it matters. We'll all be running around with curlers in our hair and mismatched socks before we know it! :grin:
I hope that works out for you with the walker with a seat it would be great if you could get out with the dogs again. I'm sure they'd love it too! Good idea to carry an arsenal (and a big doberman!) with you, can't be too careful. I still think of poor Darcel and Hilde whenever we are out and about I rarely take her to the park anymore for walks (and never the neighborhood) too many irresponsible people with loose dogs and kids on bikes.
Walked in the neighborhood using the scooter and Buddy was attacked twice so thought I would try the park.We went today found a place under the seat of the walker to carry one bottle of water and a bowl we did fine only sat down three times.
As we were leaving saw a boxer mix tied to BQ grill at the front of the park it was tied to it with a 4 ft nylon leash stayed to see if anyone went near it nope no one around it. Left turned around went back gave it some water it was a young dog sat around a little longer.Then went to the Animal Health store I go to buy my dog food asked if thy had the Animal shelter phone number so called them they said to call the county so got that number called them. They asked if the dog was mean I said no they said if it was still there Monday they might get it. I went home to cook dinner will go back over in the morning to see if it is still there I just hate that never know what to do cannot have a male dog around a male Doberman will be fight city they hubby would shoot me.Hope some one came and got it at least it is not cold here in the 60's.
Don't you just hate people sometimes! That poor dog. Shelters aren't always that helpful I picked up a terrified pit bull mix once who was running pell mell through traffic obviously lost and scared, took her to the shelter and they were extremely rude and didn't want to take her, they kept laying the guilt trip on like if we take this dog then another one will get killed, etc. I was furious luckily I have friends who volunteer there and we talked to the boss who apologized I guess though they get a lot of people coming in to dump off their dogs and saying the found them.
I walk Hallie at my Uncles it's a gated senior housing place, it's wonderful no loose dogs or bikes it's very pretty and serene with lots of sidewalks and ponds, etc.
Did you have a chance to check on the boxer this morning? I was thinking of the poor thing last night hoping he was in a nice soft bed in a house somewhere...
