Title: Food Cube 101 by Bonnie H
Post by: BonniesMom on February 03, 2011, 06:59:51 PM
The first time I saw the red square noisy thing with a hole in it, my first thought was, YUMMY!  It smells good.  Then it hit my wee little brain.  It smells like food but WHERE'S the food?  I sniffed and snorted and looked all the way confuzzed.  Dis strange ball, that's not really a ball at all smells like food but I can't SEE the food.  Well, there was Mommy and Papa rooting like cheerleaders at a wiener race telling me to scoot it with my snoooot.  I must confess because, and I am a little embarrassed to admit this, but Mommy and Papa say that I'm not the brightest crayon in the box…..whatever DAT means.  After more cheerleading from the peanut gallery, aka my hooparents,  and me just thinking, "just gib me da FOOOOOOD already", I got my first real lesson in food cubing, 101.  I had a wonderful teacher and watched very closely and intently as my Papa got down at my level, and starting scooting his nose on the object of my desire.  Scoot!  Scoot! Scoot!  Papa's nose made that food cube roll like a champ.  And then something really miraculous happened!!  A piece of food fell out of the cube and I wasted no time in snarfing it  up.  Yum!  Yum!  I watch Papa some more using his snoot to roll da cube and VOILA!  Another tasty morsel fell out!  Suddenly the light bulb went on in my dim attic and I started to scoot the cube, too.  At first with Papa "helping" me and then all by myself!  Wow!  I got it down, in my own little Bonnie way.  I can get all the kibbles out of the cube now by using my beak and my paws.  Mommy sez that sissy Madderoo was the champion cuber and would run up and down the hallway with it.  I just bat it around and snoot it in a smaller area, but I accomplish the same thing.  So the lesson here is, you can teach an old wiener dog (I is 12) new tricks.  Woo Hoo for Bossy Bonnie!

We are so impressed Bonnie! That is too cute wish you had that on video. Mark is such a good daddy LOL. Hallie would never work a cube like that, she knows all she has to do is sit and wait patiently and her muther will do everything for her. Ollie you are a smart one too, there are always more than one path to the same destination, and some are more direct than others!  :thumb:

Sam and Eddie had a treat ball and it was Sam who did all the work of rolling it while Mr Eddie ran behind and reaped the benefits.

dis is Parker: You don't puts slibbers of roast beast in food cubes. Jus peanut butters an kibbles. Slibbers of roast beast gets put on plates, preferably silver, and you eats da beast. Den you licks the plate clean so your Momma won't need to wash it. Puppers don't use knives an forks.

O.K., I gotz questions:

1) iz dis 101 cubes, or one cube wif 101 sides, or one cube wif 101 pieces of food in it? :dontknow:

2) what iz a cube? :idiot:

Guinness, honey, it's like a box. It's made of plastic. iffn - excuse me - IF you push it around and move it from one side to another, you will eventually get a piece of snack or food to come out of the cube! It's to have fun and to make you think. :comfort:

Well, I'll tell YOU what I fink! :ticked: I fink iffn I jus' keep yappin at it, sooner or later you'll give up an let me have my din-din! :thumb:
