Title: -26 Degrees at the House!!!
Post by: dachsville on February 02, 2011, 07:40:10 AM
OMG - I don't think I ever remember it being this cold.  -26 degrees this morning.  My car is warming up right now so I can get in it to drive to work.  Pooch pads everywhere...... no dogs going outside for awhile.  They are huddled by the fireplace and won't move.  It's this cold in Denver, too.  Usually it's colder in the mountains, but not this time.  Patty - what's it doing in Alaska??  What about other parts of the country??  How is everyone else doing?

Luckily it isn't that cold here, but Danni is hunkered down on my lap under the comforter.  I have puppy pads so she won't have to go out in the snow and I put in a supply of hand warmer packs for when I shovel snow.  Blame the ground hog for it all.

No - actually the groundhog didn't see his shadow so supposedly spring is on the way.   It is supposed to be a balmy 30 degrees this weekend.  Poor Slinky keeps running to the door, but he absolutely can't go out or his little paws will freeze.  Even the Big Dogs of Breckenridge aren't out today!

We're in Leeds, in the UK. It's been pretty mild weather this week so far. Right now I'm lying in bed listening to the wind really howling outside though. Tris and Ivy weren't too keen on the snow over Christmas time so we're hoping there isn't too much more to come but we usually get the tail end of Eastern USA weather and February is one of our colder months. Bring on the spring please.
