Hi all...if you have a few spare rays and prayers, we have a close family friend of ours that lost family members in a fire. We got word yesterday afternoon, that one of my very good and close friend's great-nephew and his mother died in a motor home fire. Trudy's sister, Riki, had taken her four year old grandson, Nathan with her to run some errands in town. Sam, who is two stayed home with his Mom and they went to the motor home that was parked on their farm to take a nap. A fire broke out and both TeriAnn (23) and Sam (2) lost their lives. The fire is still under investigation for cause and an autopsy is being done tomorrow to determine their cause of death. Riki is taking it extremely hard that she didn't take Sam with her also. The kids lived with their grandparent's in their home on the farm. Riki's son attempted to get into the motor home to save his girlfriend and son but was unable to do so due to smoke and heat. I heard from Trudy this morning that Riki and Doug are staying for few days at their daughter and son-in-laws. They have asked Mike to remove the motor home once the investigators have cleared it to be removed before they go back home. They also explained to Nathan that his mom and Sam went to heaven to be with Gramma Reka. And, to top it off, Doug (Riki's husband) is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow related to cancer. So, any prayers and rays would be welcome. A very tragic outcome........
How horrible. You read about these things in the news but when it's someone you know I'm sure it takes on a whole new dimension. My prayers are with them all really tragic.
How very very sad. I'm so sorry. :comfort: What a horrible thing to happen. My prayers are with this family and you. I can't even imagine.
