We are having a strange one over in Spain since the N. European snow and ice stopped us from getting back to Nana and to Gail Tristan and Ivy for our favourite holidays.
Mum is pushing the boat out and has spent all day cooking crabs and putting lobster to sleep for our dinner tonight - we know we will get some too - Dad got them from the boats here this morning, alive and really, really kicking! Boy they pinch and kick!
We hope the fireworks will not be too bad since we are very frightened of them and that somebody, somewhere will sing a good Auld Langs Eyne for us since we are too far away from our pals and family tonight.

Happy New Year to you all! Sarge and Duggie will "howl" an Auld Langs Eyne for Red and Islay and we, hoomans, will do a verse for Andrea and Miguel. We are staying in tonight.....the roads here are not good...compact snow and ice and the temps are dipping to below 0 degrees. It is a heat wave this afternoon of 12 degrees! The sun is shining and the trees are beautiful with all their snow cover....but we are going to stay in where it's warm and toasty!
Ooh - crab AND lobster? Yummy! We can only aspire to such goodies. Sounds delish! We are so sorry you didn't get to Nana's, or to see Gail, Tristan, and Ivy. I have met the wonderful Gail, and she met my sainted Gretl and Siglen at Al's many moons ago (2001) - sheesh, that makes it 9 years and 5 months ago, since I got to meet DeeDee, Maria, Amy, Patty, Chrissie, Sandy, Noel, and so many dachsies and now angel-dachsies!

we had a very hot day, so we had auntie janie up with her boys, "I" was put in my play pen as I am still getting used to archie.
auntie jane was meant to get prawns, but she forgot, so mum had to be creative............

Happy New Year Andrea, Miguel, Red and Islay - it was lovely to hear you on the phone today. We're sad that you didn't make it over to Yorkshire for the holidays this year but Tris and Ivy are waiting very patiently for you to come back and play again. Ivy wants to wear her Supermenace costume for Red and to trim down his beard for him again. Tris wants to snore in Islay's ear for a while if she'd like a snuggle with him?
