We hope everyone had a great Christmas! Enjoying all of the WW cards we got so fun to see pics. Hallie and I spent 2 days at the beach for family Christmas, she was so happy, she even had a "runny attack" outside (in the wind storm!) and took off down the path from the house to the beach 100 mph all I could see were 2 fuzzy black ears going up and down through the dune grass. She made it til present opening time then crashed and snoozed thru the whole thing. My stupid stomach thing was on the rampage so I did a lot of laying around and didn't get to sample all of the goodies but Hallie feeling so good made up for it. :thumb:
When we woke up one morning there I was raspberrying her tummy in bed and she got up, carefully crawled up onto my chest backwards, backed up and planted her fuzzy little hams on my face and sat there looking very serious. She's never done that before but it was effective! LOL.
We came home and on Christmas day went to some friends for dinner and then she got to go see the Fokkers movie with us, and company last night so she is a very sleepy but very happy girlie today. Hope everyone had a peaceful Christmas too.
...
Hello pretty girlie, you looked pooped like your hairy sisiterwas on Christmas day.......................
We had a good day, I ended up with everyone so ran around like an idiot till 3pm. But my wee brother did me proud he brought dips and starters which we had outside, all the rest forgot that they were meant ot bring something.
The guys had fun, including missie moo who for the first time in her life raided the bin and made of with the rack of lamb bones.........................
some of the photos were hilatious as we had left the cameras about and eveyone used them. I recieved a digital photo frame, the fun started when Julie could not get it to work, the reason being my cameras have 2 cards and she had taken out the Dx with nothing on it.

Awwww.....Hallie is such a sweetheart! Your pictures are so good, that I feel like I could just reach right through the computer screen and feel her fur! I love all the pictures.....not only yours, but Roberta's also!
Hallie looks a bit tired.....my two were two worn out boys by mid afternoon. They didn't get their usual many naps and Sarge and Duggie both showed it a bit!! I told the hookids that they needed to leave the boys alone so they could take a much needed nap! Once the furkids got their nap, they were in better moods.
Great pics as usual. I think the Zs day was a bit more sedate.
I was up at 5:45 AM, as I had volunteered for duty in Dispatch, so I had to be at the police station (a 30 minute drive from the house) by 7:30 AM. It was a very quiet morning. The most amusing moment was a phone call from a citizen who wanted to report beaver activity in the park. Ummm...where exactly did he expect beavers to live? In a condo? We did tell him we would inform the park naturalists and have someone check it out.
I was off duty by 12:30 and home after 1 PM. We hung out in the afternoon, but Jessica was out of sorts. We then went up to my parents to eat Chinese Food. Jessica was still very lethargic and began shivering when we took her to the bathroom. When we took her temp, she was running a temperature of 103! Time to go back home! Jessica was better by morning, running only a 99. I was pretty worn out from my day and went to sleep. The Zs snoozed with me for a while, too.
The neat thing I found out on Christams was that the Supervisor of the Communications Section is also a dachshund lover! She adopted three dachshunds that were dumped at the Baltimore Zoo. All three are now at the Bridge, the last one of the trio passing within the last month or so. She is looking for another dachshund (or two) come springtime. I told her the Zs would be more than happy to give her a "Dachshund Fix". The Zs now even have their own radio call sign "K9 X-Ray Zero" -- K9 for dog (duh), X-ray is our department's jargon for a volunteer unit, and zero is the unit number (for instance, my radio call is "X-Ray 136".
I was sure I had made a comment on this thread. :dontknow:
I absolutely LOVE the first and second pictures. The princess looks fabulous against that tan throw.
Your Christmas sounds really fun Roberta and I don't know which is more breathtaking your Christmas table or the view out the window! Love your living room area too. I see you have Christmas crackers by your plates, is that a common tradtion in Australia? My brother in law (he and my sister used to live in England) has a cracker business here in the states now and does very well (Olde English Crackers. We do his web site). LOL I can't picture Wee Amy being "bad" and making off with the lamb bones! The Christmas spirit can bring out the mischievious in all of us. :angel4:
Dee don't you just hate to see the aging process setting in. :( It makes those "puppy" moments even more precious though. Hugs to the boys.
LOL David...that has to be a first. A citizen reporting suspicious beaver activity. Next thing you know there will be reports of jaywalking birds! That is awful Jessica was sick on Christmas, I don't blame you for being exhausted after the day you had (you got up EARLY!). I'm glad she is OK now.
That is awesome the Supervisor is a doxie person! It's surprising how many people out there are. (who would dump doxies at a zoo??!!?). Very sad she has lost them all now. Good for her for looking to add to her family in the spring.
Thanks Kathleen that is my sis in laws house at the beach, big picture windows in the living room which makes for good photo lighting!

Hmmm . . . could it be that being dumped at the Zoo was some kind of message? "You people seem to like beasts - here, you try these two. HAH!!"
