I found this posted on my FB page by Contessa Brewer, she's from MSNBC and a new dachsie owner. Let me say the article come from a website called Gawker, they're a NYC gossip site.

:comfort: I feel Mandy's pain!
Dogs and people often wake up from sedation somewhat, how shall I say this, combative. The last time I was under anesthesia, I woke up to see my doctor sanding next to me, holding my hand, his eyes bugging out. Seems I started waking up and tried to go on a rampage and the recovery room nurses called him and said, "She's YOUR patient - YOU get in here and try to calm her down!" :2funny:
I don't think I bit anyone though . . . :thinik:
Auntie Mandy, er, Karen :angel13:
For the dogs safety they should have left it the dog in the airline approved crate no one would have been bit they also should have tried the tranquilizer on the dog to see how the dog would work.
I saw that on the news too. It had to be a traumatic experience for the poor dog too. I hope it was a good lesson to many.
I'm sure glad I wasn't your Dr Auntie Karen LOL. But I DO wish I had been there with a video camera... :pic:
