Title: Pet Shop visit
Post by: Marcia from MI on October 13, 2010, 09:04:24 AM
On my way home from a job today I stopped at our pet shop to price a few things.  As I walked through the C-A-T food aisle I heard the sound of a meow.  There sitting between the bags of cat food was a beautiful kitty waiting  to be petted, which I did  But as I walked away kitty followed me down the aisle - she stayed on the shelves weaving her way through the bags of cat food, it was too funny for words.  So I bought Danni some treats, Wednesday and Saturday are "special treat day" in our house.  So now she is sitting with me licking her rawhide treat and fighting off Cleo kitty, whom she thinks will steal it.  earlier Danni was doing her best pitiful whine as she walked around the house with the rawhide in her mouth, she really deserves an Oscar for her performance.

I love the "house" kitties at pet stores and veterinary offices.  This vet is the first one I've had without one out and about always-but they have two they let out at night when nobody is there.

That's a sweet meet up with that kitty, I imagine. And the treats for the dogs surely give more happy alone moments for them tasting their reward!! ;)

My vet, Dr Cindy has a few office cats, who come out to meet all the patients.  When I had Sully Angel we went in for a check up and Sully went behind the reception desk(he thought he was allowed) and took the stuffed mouse that belonged to the office cats and wouldn't give  it back.  It wasn't until we were on the way home that he gave the slobbered upon mouse back to me.  When I returned it to Dr Cindy she thought it was terribly funny and said that the cats probably didn't miss it.

One of the pet stores I worked at had some store kitties. Unfortunately they had to take them to their homes because the the little stinkers started crawling on the racks and tearing holes in the bags of bird seed dog food and cat food. When they would go to take them off the shelves or a customer did it would be all over the floor.  They had them for the mice but the had more fun tearing the bags open.

Awwww - a nice surprise as you are walking down the aisles !!!  It kills me how our kids worry like crazy trying to find the perfect place to hide a treat!
