and I don't really quite know how I got this effect, but I was taking piccies of the beauteous Brekke, and took this on Sunday...

What a beautiful picture, Julia!
I love this one too she looks magical maybe it's fairy dust! :thumb:
yes a good shot, I have always loved your avatar.

That is beautiful-almost like the filter they put on the camera for some actresses. Makes her look all dreamy and romantic.
Did this show up right away on the camera, or once you were playing with it on the computer?
It sort of reminds me of some of the effects I got using print master to make address labels.
It really is neat. YOu might want to read your camera manual if it was on there, just in case you switched something. Otherwise you may end up with a "romantic sports picture"

I was just pointing and clicking - the only doctoring I have ever done with photos, is fixing red eye - and sometimes I don't even manage that! 5 of the other 6 shots were perfectly normal, and the 6th shot had a halo effect around the edges, also. I had never gotten any "special effects" before, so maybe it was the time of day - around 4 p.m., and a storm had begun to come in, with lots of wind and ugly clouds.
Well, whatever you did looks great. Love the effect and, of course, Miss Brekke.
