Is it purely a dominance thing that Miss Ivy this week has mounted my poor little Tristan and this morning my leg? She got a swift reprimand but I'm wondering what else to do or if it's a sign of coming into heat again maybe? I really don't want a little humper LOL
dis is Parker: What's wong wif a wittle humper???????? :angel4: :angel4:
Ivy: I always gets scolded too when I behave beastly. :angel4:

Millie did that the first time she came into season, but never again since then. The hormones seem to trigger a need to dominate, so it may not be an either/or proposition.

Dey iz alwayz pickin' on da small guyz! I iz 15 and a haf an' I likez to get some humpin' in every now an' den. Auntie Karen alwayz stops me, yellin', "GUINNESS, GET A ROOM!!"
Why get a woom when I gotz da whole house?? :2funny:
I beg your pardon! :nono:
Zcuse me - it's nap time! :bolt:
For years Penny has always humped her favorite toys. She has never done it to us or another dog...just her toys. We think it must be a dominance thing for her...at least we hope that's what it is
It is a normal dog behavior some say it is dominance some say its not all I say about it its a behavior I do not allow not a problem here. My house my rules yes I'm a mean mom.
Sounds like Ivy needs a little distraction. Our Mummy has sent you an email to see if we can come over the mountains to distract Ivy and Tristan a bit. If she is in heat no-can-do since I am "fully equipped"
Red
(Islay is sleeping in today since it's raining).
Distraction is what we do too, though it is normal to hump, it should not be encourage... ;)
Thankfully there are no other indications that Miss Ivy is coming into heat anyway, it's only been 4 months I think since her last one. She is very easily distracted so that's a good idea. I think if Red and Islay want to come and play that will be the best distraction ever!!!! We can't wait to see you xxxx
