Yes Roscoe just scratched his ear - with his BACK RIGHT FOOT!!!!
This has to be a good sign - that has to be voluntary movement I would think. His right side was stronger pre-surgery and the disk material removed was more heavily concentrated to his left side.
Okay I gotta go cry now...happy/hopeful tears
:hello2: YAYAYYAYAYAYA :hello2::urock:
Yeay Roscoe! Know very well these small signs = huge hope. I agree, that has to be a VERY good indication!!!!!!! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

DA gang
Yipppeeeee! That is a good sign for sure! Hang in there little guy! Your mama is taking such good care of you!
Krista....When Toby was so very sick someone here on the board said "Baby steps are all that are required". I thought about that every single day. It became a little mantra in my head. When things get tough just tell yourself that over and over. Your doing everything you can for your boy and he knows that. The power of love is truely an amazing thing!
Whoohooo Good Job Roscoe!! :apls: :apls: :apls:
Jen & the Crew

That is an excellent sign - it is now Sat am - how about an update this morning ?!?!?!?!?!?!
Smoochies to Roscoe !
Hey Barb. Roscoe is about the same this morning as he was light night. I've not seen any more voluntary movement yet, but I do feel like he may be putting some weight on his back right side when I stand him up to express his bladder.
His personality keeps shining through more and more and in that respect, he's pretty much back to normal. He gives kisses, barks at the door, is hungry ALL the time, and wants to be with the rest of us. I sat down on the floor last night and put Roscoe in the cuddler bed beside me. Rudy came over and layed gingerly beside Roscoe and they both seemed to enjoy that.
Now we just try to keep him calm and quiet so his body can heal.
Cuddle time - with the other kids and you and John are good. As long as Roscoe is comfy, and can be monitored - everyone will conform to his limitations and do what is best for Roscoe's healing. Some days you may not see any improvement, but as long as he is hungry, doing his business and giving kissies - then he is healing !!!! Sounds like Rudy and I am sure Gwennie are very well aware to be careful around him - isn't that amazing ? They are so intune ! Let us know how he does today - Is the expressing getting any easier ?!?!?!?!?
Yes I'm getting better at expressing him and getting the pee down onto the pee pad and not on me LOL! John has not tried it yet though. I think he's afraid of hurting him.
Geez - I would be scared to death !!!! But as mommy's we do what we have to do......dad will do just fine if he has to !
Great job Roscoe! Hang in there buddy. We're sure that you'll be just fine very soon.
Thanks all. I do think that his right side seems to be regaining something - I see some signs here and there.
Time will tell!
Yeah for Roscoe!! :hello2:
Yikes Roscoe! This is great news! :meme: :hello2:
Last evening (Sunday evening) Roscoe wagged his tail a little bit, several different times when his name was said. Hopefully another good sign!
That is wonderful news! He is really getting better in leaps and bounds!
Great news!! Rays for continued improvement are on the way.
