Hello all. My name is Brett, I'm 21 year old male in Central California.
I doubt i'm the mold of most people here, but I love my weinerdog and was wondering if you guys can help.
When I was 20, I got a tattoo for my dachshund, Ozzy. He's still alive and well, and I knew I would probably want one to remember him when he's gone, but I love him now and see no point in waiting until he's gone.

It has since had color and outlining added, it looks pretty nice.
The point of this thread is i can't find this drawing anywhere! I honestly pulled it up on Google after about 10 minutes of searching "dachshund cartoon" "dachshund caricature" "weinerdog drawing"
I've been told it's a drawing of the dog from curious george, but i can't confirm it. It could also be clip art. Can anyone help me at all, or know the most efficient way to find this exact drawing? I want the artist or whatever site hosts it to know it is now proudly on my leg

As to the origin of your tattoo, I have absolutely NO clue!! But I gotta tell you, he's a real cutie!! How old is Ozzy? Not the tat - the pupper himself? We all adore our doxies - some of us more than others, evidently - and we'd love to see a photo of you two!

Welcome to one of the best boards on dachshunds. I'm Darcel and am owned by a mini red named Hildegard. I, too, do not have any clue to your tattoo, but love it!!! Hope someone here can give you the info you want. Now we need pics of the real Ozzy!!
Welcome to the board!! I have a minature dachshund named Porky. I love your tattoo. I'm not sure about where that drawing came from either, but I do know it doesn't look much like the dog (Hundley) on Curious George. One of the kids I took care of was obsessed with that show. I'm sure you'll fit in here just fine, we are all different from one another and that's part of the fun. I hope you can find the source of your drawing.

I am a CA girl, too, and I have four now - 5 previously (who have passed on - we call it gone to the Rainbow Bridge), and two family dachsies when I was younger. I like your tat, and I am sure someone will be able to find that for you. I have been known to spend a few hours googling for things dachsie! We definitely need more info on Ozzy: age, photo, named for Ozzy Osbourne - that kind of thing, silly stories, etc. Did I mention we're dachsaholics?
Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome. Ozzy is going on 8 years old. I got him as a gift for moving from 8th grade to high school, I'm 21 now. He's a red mini and his mother was a longhair. I, like i'm sure every other dachshund owner, thinks he is just the beau of the breed.

Ozzy is absolutely gorgeous, such a handsome boy and he certainly has "the look" off too a tee. My name is Andrea, I am a Scot, married to Miguel, a Mallorquin and live on the Mediterranean coast of Spain with Red (9 in October) miniature roan wire male and our little princess Islay ( 8 in September) a mahogany longhaired kaninchen.
Sorry, no idea about the tattoo, but we think he´s ever so handsome in the flesh and on yours too.

Your tattoo doesn't look like the illustration from the Curious George books (unless it is the "new" Curious George on PBS). It kind of looks like a cartoonized picture of the dachshunds that graced the bottle of Hartz Doggie No.

Yup - I got out there and googled "H.A.Rey dachshund cartoons" but found nothing like the tat. Hmm - is Ozzy named for Ozzy Osbourne? Inquiring minds want to know! I agree with David - maybe newer PBS stuff on Curious George?
