I just wanted to post a picture of her tummy-I like this one because her tail is covering her girlie parts. :thumb: I think she's got either one or two pups in there.

If I lived closer I'd put my hand up for a pup Kathleen.

Aww, thanks Roberta!
I am so ready for another puppy in the house!! Too bad I can't. I bet Millie's puppers will be adorable. What a handsome fellow too. Can't wait to see pictures of those puppies!!
With such a pretty Mum and handsome Dad those little puppies are sure to be irresistible. Good luck to Millie for the birth. We look forward to seeing the baby pics.

#2: " Yeah, baby, I AM your stud muffin!"
Hey, Hey, HEY! Auntie Karen says I'M da stud muffin!
Ummmm . . . Bye! :bolt:
Funny thing is, Millie THINKS the daddy is Murphy-she picked him despite the fact that he's neutered.
Murphy says "I know nussing about babies. Puh-leeze."

:book1: AHEM . . .
Not to worry, Murphy, Dr. Leaky is on the case. We'll demand DNA testing. You're only shooting blanks, my little friend. :comfort:
Blank WHAT???
Never mind, Guinness. Go back to sleep.!

Oh, I am, believe me. But I live within ten miles of two different emergency veterinarians and I won't hesitate to take her in if needed.
Aw those are going to be beautiful pups!! I really want our next dashie to be a little long hair female. So i can put little bows in her hair adn leave poor Finnegan alone for a spell.

Miss Millie...you sure are one beautiful girl and the puppie's daddy is sooo handsome!!! Sure to be beautiful puppies....Hope the delivery goes smooth as silk!!!
Just LOOK at this tummy! She looks like she's going to asplode! And the poor girl still has a week and a half to two weeks to go!
This is her "sleeping on her back smile". When she's relaxed, her front teeth show. :2funny:
I would definitely say she has two pups in there! Maybe three or four? They grow so fast at this stage, she is going to be quite big in another week or so. Be sure to keep posting pics as she grows into a beautiful mama dog.
Well, Teresa wins the gold star for guessing! We found out today that there are four puppies in that tummy. I pointed an arrow at the fourth one because it's so hard to see otherwise.

That is such a COOL picture!! I kept thinking of how the horns of the uterus are in a dog and though that it just looked like there could easily be two pups on each side, could have been one on one side and two on the other, but they looked so even, I thought two.
Millie is going to be one busy mama! At least they should be fairly small and easier for the little one to deliver. This is getting sooooo exciting!
I's know nothing about puppies always spay my girls with a chocolate momma and a black daddy what colors would the pups be???Here is too a smooth delivery and healthy pups rays & hugs.

Daddy very likely does not carry chocolate (which is recessive, so has to come from both parents), so I believe I should have all black and tans. If he DOES carry chocolate from five generations back, we could get both black and tan and also chocolate and tan.
All of the puppies would carry chocolate from Millie though, so if you bred one of them, for instance, to a chocolate/tan, you would get both. With a recessive trait like points (the "and tan"), chocolate and longhair, if a dog shows the trait, they have two copies of the gene. Millie's only got what she is to give, if that makes sense. She has two copies of chocolate, two copies of the gene for points, two copies of the longhair gene. Comet is also pointed and has longhair, so all the puppies will be longhair "and tans", it's just a matter of whether he got a copy of the chocolate gene carried forward for quite a ways.
Thanks for the explanation.

OMG she is huge! Four babies! Love the pics both of the already here kids and the ones in the oven! All black and tan longhaired babies...   Hallie does that thing with her teefs too when she's upside down.
Rays to Millie for a safe delivery and everything going smoothly.
Wow - I loved the picture - I don't think I've seen one of a dachsie before! (Maybe she'll deliver on my b.d.)
Zora also does the same thing with her teeth. Wonder if it is a female dachshund thing as none of my males ever did that.
Zora will also bare her teeth, more as a nervous reaction than showing aggression.
I think we have puppies coming tonight. :xfinger: for a smooth delivery.
Good luck! Even the X-rays of the pups are cute!
Praying that everything comes out all right. A SMOOOOOTH delivery!
Millie is the proud mommy of four new black and tan baby girls. I'll attach pictures later, I promise!
YAYA!!!!! LH or smoooooooth? Or too early to tell?
Hi Leslie-all longhairs. I can't wait until their little peepers open and they get the little wavies on their ears.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! What sweeties they are. I love puppies!!! Thanks for the pics.
Millie is being an absolutely wonderful mother. I was a little worried about her-she's such a diva normally-but she's very attentive and gentle.
How precious! I love how relaxed Millie looked with one still to be born. I'm glad she is such a good mommy. You are going to have a blast with these little girls! I love the names!

I don't know - in that piccy of her waiting for #4, she looks like a real diva. Like the death scene from "La Boheme."
"The pain we must go through to create - oh, the pain."
"Well, yes, I had six kids and five c-sections, so, yeah, Millie, I feel your pain."
"Oh. Never mind, Auntie Karen."
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG Gimmie!!!
Your keeing them all right? because really how could you possibly give those teeny tiny babies away|!?!?!? Ever?!??! Even when they arenot so teeney ready-to-leave-mom babies.
They are beautiful Millie, you should be proud!
Very cute hope all the homes wanted girls keep up the good work Millie.
