Was wondering instead of chewing on the butt area chewing in the chest area ??? Patches has been chewing on her chest area a couple of weeks ago i did find a flea.Know some dogs can have a flea bite allergy which Patches may have. I have sprayed the house,sprayed the yard,gave Patches a Oatmeal dog shampoo bath also put new Front line plus on both dogs.(About had a heart attack went to my regular vet one vile of Front line plus for Buddy & one for Patches they charged me $44.00 month of July) I have to come up with something cheaper that works if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.I have not seen any fleas on Patches in about 2 weeks check her out with a flea comb.Patches on the same food has not had a problem even went to the health Food store found some Noahs Ark Neem oil spray that is suppose to help with the itches.Buddy scratches and chews once in a great while nothing like Patches heck I even tried Porky's Oatmeal bath for her called her to come to bed when I picked her up tonight to put her in my bed her chest was all wet & red skin.Papbouv
Porky gets the red itchy chest from walking in weeds or tall grass. Also he had a red, wet, and itchy chest when he got a fungal infection of the skin. I would have Patches checked out by your vet to make sure its just an allergy and not the fungal infection thing. Try and keep it dry and out of any irritants until it starts looking better. Sometimes heat rash can do that too. Heat rash is VERY itchy for the puppers too. Hope you can find out what's wrong with her and get her feeling less itchy soon!! :pray:
