The day started with Mom putting all her clothes into crates and loading them into my van. This usually means we are going somewhere overnight. My Uncle Dave came over and he had his clothes in a small crate...Mom had hers in a big one and my stuff was in 3 crates plus blankies, strollers, etc so Uncle Dave didn't have much room in the back! (I of course have control of the front passenger seat).
Then Mom put my food on ice and put it in the van too so I was sure then we were in for a nice long trip. We said goodbye to my house and my babies and my beds and my dishes and my window and my poopatorium....then we went down the road. We went past trees and stuff for a while, I had just fallen asleep in my crate, when there was a big BANG and a jolt that woke me right up (for like a week!). We stopped and mom said to Uncle Dave, I think I just bwoke my car. Uncle Dave said Yup. My poor van leaked all over the road Mom said it was oil but I think he just peed his pants when that bang happened, I know I did! And I think Mom and Uncle Dave might have too. The poor van had his underparts laying in the street and big holes in what was left underneath. I see London, I see France........!
Then we sat in the hot van for 2 hours, Mom pointed a fan at me so I slept some. Next thing I knew we were riding in a big red truck with a toe or something and my van was hitching a ride on the back! Lazy thing. Then we were back home again! The trip wasn't nearly as long as I thought it would be. Although we did move everything into Uncle Dave's little pickup and then we took our loooong trip, I got to ride on Mom's lap instead of in my crate that time!
When we got home a couple days later, that big red toe truck came back and took my van to the van Dr's office and it's still there so we haven't seen it in a week now. The guy said Mommy did a real good job tearing out the under part of the van on something called a curb. Yeay MOMMY!!! :hello2: Luckily our friends loaned Mommy and me the DORTMOBILE their old car to tool around in til my van gets better. I can't ride in it much though because it's been so hot here and the air conditioning doesn't work so I get too warm even with the fan on me.
So that was my week Mommy sez I don't have to worry about my food but she'll be eating beans for a while....
I absolutely love it! I could not stop laughing! The more I read it the harder I laughed! Have a good week-end you 2!
Tell mum there are some good variety of beans and they may have ring pull lids.
Sorry to hear about you van, curbs can be dangerous.......................

Sorry to hear of your trip not working out in the van but even vans, cars & trucks have to go to the doctors and even hospitals sometimes.Hope the bill will not make your Momma faint quite prices for vans or anything now days to be fixed.Just wanted to warn you Miss Hallie so you can be prepared to run to your Momma and wash her face good and revive her is case she faints.
Best not for you to go in vans, cars, or trucks with out air conditioning doggies do not last long in the summer time.Good luck with the van.

Hallie BB - you are a good story teller.....and you had some holiday week end !!! Sorry mommy broke her ride...... and hope she doesn't have to eat beans for too long :doah:
See if the newspaper needs a couple of guest journalist. You know they all need to increase their sales and you could bring in a little extra cash to help with the van or maybe feed mom more than beans. I hate that the van broke, but did enjoy the story and the giggles it brought! Remind mom that at least beans just need a microwave to heat!
Sorry to hear that the van got broke. I hate curbs myself. Once (when I was a lot younger, of course) I sneezed while driving and ran into the curb and ended up with two, mind you, two flat tires. :doah: Of course, there is only 1 spare!! Thank goodness for tow trucks. Took me and my wien at the the time, Tammy to a gas station and fixed the other tire. The guys at the station seemed to think it was funny that I did that "sneezing." But would I make a story like that up?
:2funny:
That was a great story. Hope the van Dr doesn't cost too much!
