Title: could be our new BIG cousin
Post by: Roberta on July 09, 2010, 06:21:52 AM
Aunty Janey went to see him to-day, he's been welded (moms says its gelded :dontknow: ) he's called Lomond and is a full Clydesdale da man standing next to him is 5 ft 8 inches  mum says he may end up just over about 18 hands, so he may grow a wee bit, but wil lfill out to half a house what ever that means. He is a bit camera shy, but look out buddy my mums on her way so get used to it.

Oliver

Jane my sister is getting into harness and carts, and to get into showing so she  needs a registered horse this little guy maybe him. We are now into names his offical name is Murroka Lomond.............we are thinking Dougal or Fraser. He may not look much but his feeties are beautiful. She is letting the guy she knows have a look at photos, but she thinks its a goer. He appears to be a lover and likes snuggles as much as a ton of horse can, and used to wee ones around the feet............breeders have west highlands.
Like dogs they grow into their feet and the hairy bits.

I think she said he is 2 rising 3. As its winter and he is not rugged his coats a bit rough. His nature she thought good as he had been in a yard for 2 hours waiting for her to arrive, as her pair quiet as they are can get snotty afte a long time in the yard.  Lallans about 16-17 and as you say its like sitting half was to the moon.
Jane said the human family were great, the son who does the runnign of the farm/stud had to go he is also a vet, left her with his parents, old horse people, who gave her the tour, she said she had never seen so many clydies in one place of all sizes. So God knows we may end up with more..........
