ok, so it's raining pretty good today and Loki still has her foot in a bandage, which the vet says MUST NOT GET WET. So on my lunch hour I was standing in line at the gas station waiting to pay and I see the display of Trojans, and my brain sez: "In England they call galoshes, rubbers." and a little light went on.
I'll try it tonight when I get home from work. She'll be in the nice, soft grass, and the label does say SUPER STRONG--so, what the heck, right??? :crazyeyes:
Later that same day: DAG. Did not work. It was, uh, too small for the bandage and all. So I put on a woman's footie sock doubled over and then a small baggie and taped that on. It kept her dry when she FINALLY poohed. But now I can't get THAT off. I am ashamed to say I had a DH-style meltdown at her. At least she @*&^%ing QUIET for five three minutes.
:2funny: LOL Leslie that made me laugh so much. It sounds like a splendid plan and good "protection" for Loki's footsie. I'm not sure about what the English call wellie-boots, I haven't heard rubbers yet but when I do it will take on a whole new meaning for me. It's raining plenty here at the moment so Tris and Ivy are interested in the four condom approach but Tris wants a body one so his belly doesn't get wet either LOL.

Funny you should mention that idea Leslie. I was reading an old article about how CNN covers hurricanes and it seems they use condoms to cover the microphones to keep them from getting wet and electricuting the reporter.

As for the Kotex I've heard tell they are good to keep on hand for bad cuts..but no the sicky side down me thinks.....
So Leslie your DH uses similar tactics.....I'm forever saying "you make more noise than the dog's and they are not deaf". Our pair always bark when the door opens, and I know its him as he yells through the door "It's only me, you idiots".

Hubby accidentally broke Jake's (Bouvier) puppies leg used a plastic newspaper sleeve over the cast he had to wear for about 6 weeks,worked fine.
Remember vaguely when I was a kid my Grandpa had some type of surgery the doctor told my grandma to use Kotex for a bandage back then no sticky side back then just tails on both sides.Grandma had a good time kidding him about his wearing Kotex all he did is grin.Papbouv

For future reference to anyone.... the Glad Press-and-Seal wrap is the best thing ever for covering and water proofing the footies. We used it for Delilahs cast and also for Franky's foot to cover the IV when he had chemo.
