Hi, I am new to this forum, many years ago I belonged to the Dachshund Circus and wondered where everyone was and how their dachies are. I am from Sydney, Australia and have been owned by, bred and exhibited standard smooth and miniature long haired dachshunds since 1960. I stopped breeding and exhibiting in 1990 and now am owned by Marty, he is a min. long haired black and tan Dachshund who was 14 in March. Unfortunately his companion of many years died in September last year. She was Lisa a min. long haired red long haired dachie, she was 15 and a half and had a stroke, so unexpected. All the family miss her. I am a life member of the NSW Dachshund Club, was their secretary for 11 years and editor of their magazine for 9 years. As I have had quite a lot of experience with breeding etc, I would be pleased to answer any problems you might have.

Welcome...it is so nice to have you here! I am Cheryl and hubby and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. We are owned by two red smooth "tweenie" half brother and sister doxies named Zoe (age 7) and Winston (age 5). I am so very sorry to hear of your sudden loss of Lisa. She was beautiful! Marty is stunning also. Again, we are glad you found us! :apls:
