Nikki, you once mentioned  Cosequin--can you tell me more?

Who else gives supplements for back/joint?

I gave Glyco-Flex (the old version, now called GF 300) for a long time, but then I admit I forgot to re-order when I ran out back in tax season.  I have to wonder if Roscoe would be hurting right now if I had been more on the ball.

We will be giving Glyco-Flex I to all the doglets now, and Roscoe will get an increased dosage of it for the next 4-6 weeks as he's healing.

****now I plan to ask the surgeon about this before giving it to Roscoe, since he had surgery Tuesday.

Where do you get it? and what are the ratios (ingredients)?

I buy it through KV Vet supply - http://www.kvvet.com

My vet said Glyco-Flex I is the one to use to as a precautionary measure - and he suggested giving it to all my dachshunds, regardless of whether they have a history of back problems.  He has not tried the higher formulas yet, but said they may work better for a dog with proven problems.

They carry it for a good price and free shipping on it and most other small items.  Darn good price on greenies too.
