Title: The Turdburglar Strikes again....and again
Post by: Madderoos Mom on April 05, 2010, 09:15:48 PM
In fact, this seems to be Bonnie's favorite hobby.  It's GROSS to see what she's chomping on whilst sitting pretty on the futon or couch only to find it's a TURD!  I've heard of Poo Eaters, and Maddie and Dear Dolly did their share, but this little stinker takes turd eating to new heights.  YUCK!  It seems to happen about every other day.

 I always think of Noel when this comes up ...."You mean you have to give them something to make their poop taste bad?!" ... Ilsa used to get Pupcorns stuck in her cheek and she'd do that licking motion over and over. Ron had her on the recliner with him while she was doing that, once, and stuck his finger in her mouth to release the Pupcorn. His finger came out brown and stinky!!!!! I thought he was gonna throw up!

I've found that food that contains sweet potatos works as well:-)  It's a hard habit to break, for sure!

It's a disgusting habit that seems to be extremely common in doxies. You can put stuff in their food but the only sure way of stopping it is to ensure there are no snacks available. That's how we cope with Parker, but then again Parker is an "only" dog that is closely supervised when he takes care of his business. However, when we are at work, I have no idea if there is a bit of recyling going on.   I think I prefer not to know.  :dontknow:
