Title: Pics
Post by: Dee Dee and Hallie on March 06, 2010, 12:49:06 AM
Cleaned out my cards now I can take more pictures!
I was featured artist at a wine and arts festival this week in Salem, Oregon and Hallie of course came along. She had a great time she got a lot of attention, shopping time in, and treats. The owner of the gallery we were in fawned over her and she would gently reach he paw out everytime he would pet her and try to hold his hand near her with her little toes. She got to meet a lot of new four legged friends too (and a couple of foes) there was a miniature horse named "whinney" in a store next to the gallery and there were horses, dogs, cats and a bird where we stayed the night. She liked the cockatiel she sniffed him thru the bars and he would wolf whistle at her. She didn't pay him much mind though and when he started to screech a few feet from us during the night she didn't even raise her head to look at him.

There was a string quartet playing in the gallery made me think of Rich and Deb!

First two Hallie is helping me take photos of waterfowl at a refuge...we go about 2 miles per hour and she lays in my lap in her bed which is also on my lap and watches for birds with me.
Third one she is helping me in a dressing room giving her opinion on my clothes choices.
The last one was today it was a beautiful day so we went to photograph ducks at a park.

She sees the deer she just wasn't impressed...
Hallie and her cousin Max at the beach.
Every night before bed I put her blanket in the dryer until it's warm then she comes running and I wrap her in it and she melts...

As usual, great piccies!  I am glad you posted the second one of Hallie and ?Whinni?, because in the first, she seemed a whole lot less than impressed.  The second one with Whinni, she looks a little more interested.  So, is this the event where your dachsie umbrella was auctioned off?  Did it bring in bunches of money for the fund-raising?  The other two shown were nice enough umbrellas, but all of us know the jewel in the collection!

Auntie Julia did you see the shirt with the dragon head on it in that one pic? I thought of you!
Ha she doesn't look impressed in that first pic does she, she isn't a big reactor about much of anything she just takes it all in stride but the people didn't know what Whinny would do so we were careful at first but he was fine. Yes the event was a big success and we've been invited back in June for their Dog Days, I am going to set up a booth with my art and one with my studio lights and take doggie pics and Hallie and I are also going to judge some kind of contest I think costumes or tricks or something only problem is I will give EVERYONE first place!!  :thumb:

Your pictures put a smile on my face.  But then again, they always do.  My three favorites:  Hallie looking out the driver's seat window.  Her fur matches the grasses blowing.  Hallie & Whinny on the bench.  The big blankie (beautiful)....Oh!  And the snoot and tail sticking out.   :apls:

Every single one of these pictures is wonderful.  Hallie is so photogenic, and her mom is a genius with a camera!

I think my favorite one, oddly, is the one of just Hallie's nose and tail poking out of the blankie.  It makes ME want to melt...

Wonderful pics! My 2 favorite are the blankie with the snoot sticking out and the one of her and Max. You are so lucky she doesn't react to much - just Ilsa popping out of bushes!!!!! Here's the story, you guys ... when Ilsa and I went to Montana with DD and Hallie, we would walk the girls in the afternoon around the hotel grounds. At one point, DD and Hallie got ahead of me and Ilsa. Hallie turned around just as Ilsa was popping out of some bushes and went 'bark, bark, bark!' DD, Ilsa and I were looking at her, wondering what she was barking at. When she realized it was Ilsa she was barking at, she 'popped' back around and started walking ... 'what? I didn't say anything.' It was so funny! You could tell she was embarrassed but was trying to cover up.

LOL I wish we'd had that on video...and some people think dogs can't be embarrassed. Poor Ilsa was looking behind her going WHAT ARE YOU BARKING AT should I run???
