I have been working around the clock lately trying to catch up, thought I'd share my umbrella I finally finished last night at 2 am...(had to deliver it today). Some artists were asked to paint an umbrella for a wine and art festival in Oregon and of course I painted wiener dogs on mine. That is Hallie on the pedastal and Ron and Delia's Ilsa is the red wire. I didn't have nearly enough time for this so I had to paint quite loose and kind of caricature which I don't normally do but if I painted my usual way, it would have taken me months.
Now I can get back to Sarge and Duggie and Looie, poor boys I keep having other deadlines that butt in to their time. I am having tons of fun painting them though!

DeeDee! The umbrella is absolutely stunning and wienerful! I love it! And, Dave and I and the boys don't mind the wait. We are patient and know the result will be wonderful and well worth it!

Dee Dee im glad your back!!!
Thanks you guys, I wish I could screen print these, painting by hand was a ton of work! But it was fun.
Ahhh little Crissy, she was a foster I had along with Mister, their elderly Mom died and the kids were going to just drop the dogs off at the vet and leave them, they didn't care about them at all :cussing: so the vet called me to see if I'd take them and find them homes, and those 2 were SO sweet....Crissy as it turned out was going into kidney failure but she did love the ball (that is her with the ball too). Mister wasn't as overweight as Crissy.
I have a feeling the paintings would wash off if gotten too wet so won't be a functional umbrella!
Delia yes that was sun trying to peek through a layer of clouds! It was gorgeous here today sunny and warm (50s feels warm this time of year). Yes Hallie is squinting, that iris atrophy although she doesn't squint nearly as bad and often not at all outdoors when she hasn't been asked to sit still for the camera. The pictures of her and your girls we took here where she was always squinting and they weren't, was way before her iris atrophy began so maybe it's behavioral. lol. Did you notice I put Ilsa and Hallie next to each other that was on purpose!
Dee and Dave I can't tell you how much I appreciate your patience, it's NEVER taken me this long to do a portrait before, but I am getting caught up on many things after my "sickie" year and the only things cutting into the time with the portrait now are things like this that were already planned...I am back at it again though and am determined to have it done very SOON!
DD, the umbrella is really neat, I love it! Glad to see you back. I hope you are feeling much better.
