Oh No Porky sounds like you might have Pneumonia which is extremely hard on dogs have your Mom ask the vet if they could teach your Mom to do the following not sure what it is called have been away from working in hospitals. You cup your hands Lightly pound on the chest  will help bring up the chest congestion it is extremely important he takes all medications the vet has you get.Know times are tough right now for you I'm sure there is some place you could get financial help if needed must be information on that Dodgers List???
Sending RAYS from Oklahoma please keep us posted we care Hugs,to all.I'm sure others might have information too.If Pneumonia it can be Life threatening in dogs they are not equipped to handle the problem.

Thank you both!!   I don't think it is pneumonia as his chest is still sounding clear.   I'm keeping a close eye on it for sure though!!  I do hear some rattling in his nose, but the chest air seems to sound clear so far.  I will definitely try the gentle chest pounds, just in case though.  I think they are called percussions, but I can't remember either.   Thank you for your ideas about financial assistance, but I think we'll be able to handle this bill.    Our vet is fairly decent on price and we have our tax return we can use to pay for the appointment.  We're expecting the bill to come up around $200 or less, so hopefully that will be the case.      I am going to be a nervous wreck until Tuesday morning, but that was the earliest they could get him in.

Porky felt a little better yesterday and had no "hacks".  But then last night was bad again with the wheezing and reverse sneezing.   Since the "hacks" have pretty much gone away, we are pretty sure that his allrgies are the culprit again.   Porky's nose was a bit stuffy last night, but seems okay now.  His main symptoms now are being VERY sleepy and the wheezing.

Thanks for the idea about the humidifier Sandi!   We have used those before and they do seem to help.    Ours is broken from overuse, so we'll have to pick up a new one.  I'm going to get a vaporizer for the bedroom at night and put it near Porky's bed too and see if that helps.
