Title: Remembering BowWow 2000
Post by: Madderoos Mom on February 01, 2010, 10:30:39 PM
So we went and spent $$ AGAIN.  Weekends are SO dangerous that way.  We really needed a piece of exercise equipment that wouldn't just be used for a clothes hanging place.  Decided on a recumbent stationary bike that sits right in front of the TV.  Well, since we don't really HAVE TV.....no cable, satellite, etc, ....we have tapes, dvds and NETFLIX, I searched in my Library for something to pop in....since we had just watched our last Mr. Ed.....yes, that's right, the talking horse.  I came upon the video tape (yep, we still have those too) with the 2000 BowWow at DD's house.  Nikki was there with Max.  Noel came.  Adela was there and others.  It was so easy to sit on that bike and pedal away noiselessly as those old memories filled the screen.  My first session lasted 15 minutes, which if ya'll know me was a BIG deal.  It's easy cycling this way and I look forward to many minutes upon minutes pedaling away to my favorite shows and such.

Guess What! You're not the only one that likes "MR ED"! Ever since I was a little girl I would watch it all the time.Even a few years ago when we had cable I would watch it on the Nickelodeon channel!

:thinik: Any chance you can look into converting it to DVD and we could split the costs?  Even though I wasn't there, you can sign me up!  I bet if 8 or 10 of us all chipped in, the cost would be minimal!

My DVD recorder can dub VHD tapes to DVD I'd be glad to do it if you'd send me the tape.

I'm guessing that was the second bow wow at DD's, right? I can't believe I missed that one!!!!!! Of course, with the cold I caught at the first one, I missed a lot of it, too. OK, now I'm HOPING it's the second bow wow. Please tell me it's not the one of me under the influence of Nyquil!!!!

Even though I wasn't there I would love to have a DVD, too.  You can count me in, also, on any costs to get one.

I missed the first one at DD's, too!  (Are you sure this was the 2000, Sandi?  I thought if Gail was there, it would be the 2001, when Gretl, Siglen, and I met all of you for the first time.)  Anyhow, I am in!  Hey, if it was the toothbrush one, it was 2001!  That was the famous lemon drop episode, too!

If Max and I were there it was 2000 and that was the one where Delia was so sick.  I didn't go to the second one.  The tape should have Max destroying the stryrofoam if I am right.  Sandy, Maddie, Max and I flew to Seattle and rented a car and drove to Dee's.  Patty, Adela (with Ninya), Noel, Al and his wife (with Noodles and Happy), Jill, Krista (with Chloe) and I can't remember who else was there.  I do remember Adela making Lemon drops.  I do remember having a wonderful time meeting everyone.  Max says he remembers Auntie Patty feeding him smoked salmon and that he protected everyone by killing the dreaded piece of styrofoam.  :)

LOL, Barb - I hope, and I am sure Siglen-Angel does too, that no one captured her major excitement over so many aunties from whom to get belly rubs!
