I wanted to take advantage of the fine fall weather and give the house a good airing out and do the floors. The kidz wanted to be outside. So I tethered them out back and opened all the doors and windows, hauled out the small furniture onto the driveway and vaccuumed and mopped the ENTIRE house. I actually mopped myself right OUT of the house and went out to sit with the girls--who had been strangly quiet. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN ROLLING IN DEAD THINGS THE ENTIRE TIME. And that dead thing (a mouse) was still in Zuzu's mouth! They smelled SO foul they had to go right into the baff--both of them! Ew ew ew ew! So of course, now that the floors and kids are clean, time to wash the dog bedding, too. I think Daddy's cooking tonight.
Yuck! And I though I had the disgusting story of the day. Ozzy must have eaten something that didn't agree with him, because he had to squat three times last night. When I got him into the house, I noticed...um..."pooh" in his tail. So I grabbed him up, noticed the stain on the (white) carpet, and took him directly to a bath. All this, while trying to get dinner ready, and I had a Worship & Music Committee Meeting at the church in less than an hour!!
Fortunately Ozzy and the carpet came out OK, and Ozzy had a normal "pooh" this morning.
It has been my experience that a quiet dachshund (unless it is a sleeping dachshund) is probably up to no good. I start to worry when my 4 are out of sight and quiet. They are usually doing something that they shouldn't be doing.
LOL! A quiet child regardless of if it has fur or not is one that should be found immediately!
It sounds like you got a lot done today though! Wanna come over to my house? lol
Amy says to say that's the way to go, but no the bafff.
What a hoot, but as they all have said silence usually means something. With Ingrid it was half a window sill.
