Hey everyone, I was just looking at Ivy's paperwork - when I got her a couple of weeks ago I was told she was 14 weeks old. Her birthday on the paperwork however is August 5th 2009 which would have made her 20 weeks old (22 now). It's not a bit of a problem to me other than to work out her feeding schedule but why would someone not be honest about the age. She was particularly cheap for a KC registered pooch (£400 pounds versus around £6-700 as the low end). We've been to the vets and she checks out perfectly well healthwise (except for the "runty" comment LOL).
So anyway, my little baby girl is 5 months old. She is a little lamb, a naughty one, but then I would be disappointed if she was completely angelic!
My only guess is that they thought they had a better chance of finding her a home if they said she was younger than that????? She is so beautiful....how could anyone resist her    I am so glad Ivy found you!!
They fudged her age because she is, as you say, runty. Don't feel bad, though, when I pointed out baby Zuzu's flared out ribcage my vet said she was a mutant. She ment that all dachshunds really are, after all.
She sure is teeny for five months! People always said Finnegan was huge as a baby! Everyone always thought he was a standard and fought me when i said otherwise, although he is supposed to be a mini i guess he is a tweenie now cuz he is about 14lbs im guessing.. Last time he was weighed he was 12.5 lbs and he has gained weight, but he isnt fat... anyways i dont know where im going with this... haha
:apls: All the great movie stars fudged THEIR birthdays - why not great Wiener Stars?
