Title: Hello from Teresa's Town!
Post by: BasilsMommy on December 31, 2009, 09:39:02 AM
I am a friend of Teresa's and I just lucked into a darling mini-dachshund a couple of months ago for the family.  We named him Basil Noodleworth and he is two handfuls of cute.

Teresa invited me here since I am now part of the wonderful world of dachshund ownership.  I look forward to all the sage advice from the pros!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas season and a Happy New Year!

I told Basil's mom she was going to love it here and all about the friends she would meet from all over the world. I'm sure we will be hearing some great stories about Basil. I've already heard quite a few!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!  I will most likely lurk more than post.  I am not only mommy to Basil but to 5 children and two cats  and wife to my DH.  I work full time too!

Basil is just the most sweet pup.  He loves all the children equally and he is so funny when he is playing with our younger kitty!  That back end can't stop when the front end does!

Welcome Basil and his mummy.

We're from Leeds in England (shhh we are secretly Scottish and just moved here from near St Andrews in September).  I've two mini smoothies - well Tristan says he is a mini but he sure weighs a lot (6.4Kg or 14 US pounds) though I just can't help picking him up for a smooch whenever he turns those big brown eyes on me. Tristan is a shaded red with a lot of snow showing through now that he is 10.  He's a mummy's boy and is the best little boy, just full of love.  I've recently been hired by Miss Ivy who is a sweet little black and tan baby, just over 5 months old currently weighing in at 2.4Kg (just over 5 US pounds). We just got her a couple of days before Christmas as Tris was pining over the loss of our little Holly-dog (she went to the bridge on his birthday at the start of December).  I'm slightly concerned that there is a lot of Holly showing in young Ivy LOL, though having two good dogs at the same time would be too much to ask.  Holly was a little spark who just loved to climb and chase and get into bother.

We hope you enjoy the board and are so happy you have joined the "family"
