Title: Surgery on Monday...
Post by: MyLittleBoo on December 23, 2009, 02:03:45 PM
I am finally going to have surgery to remove my gallbladder (the stupid painful little bugger.. lol).  I had another ultrasound on the 3rd, no stones.  I then had a hydoscan (nuclear test) on the 10th, and they didn't even give me the entire syringe of medicine to make my gallbladder try to work (only 3/4) and they said no more, they had seen all they needed to see..  I just seen the surgeon today, he is hoping that he will be able to do it laproscopic, but won't know for sure until he gets in there...    EEK!!!!  I am really hoping that he won't have to do an open surgery..  Philip is getting laid off until March on the 29th, the contract is up for the company he works for, so they are bringing in a new company, so we are trying to hurry and get this surgery done before our insurance ends on the 31st...  UGH!!!!   I had all my pre-op bloodwork and paperwork done today, so now I get to wait for the call from the hospital to tell me when to be there.  Will post when I get home.  Wish me luck.             :bandaid:

Good luck Rays & Hugs to you. You might check out the Cobra may be cheap for a few months something President Obama signed when you get laid off.
When they removed my GB it was back before Laprscopic surgery hope you get to have the Laperscopic surgery.

Just think!  When the bugger is out, you can put him in a jar and set him on your mantle.   Seriously, lots of rays and prayers to you for a successful surgery on Monday.

Hi all...  Just wanted to jump in here quick and let you know that I am doing well.  Surgery went good, I stayed overnight and never got any sleep.       :verdict:        I am healing nicely, and my staples get to come out next Wednesday.  And, of course EmmyLou is trying to be a little nurse, she keeps trying to clean my belly button for me...  Goofy Girl!!          Thanks for the rays, I am sure they helped me out..  You guys are great!!  *hugs & belly rubs*

How did things work out re: the surgery. I pray you are all right, and recovered from the laparoscopic procedure, not the open one.
