This is Bonnie. I smelled dinner cooking in the oven last night and I didn't like it at all. Mommy oughta clean that ol' oven so it don't smell like burnt dinner. In fact, I didn't like it so much that my papa got real worried about me because I started to pant and shake all over. I THOUGHT there was a fire and I got scared. Papa thought I had eaten something real bad and was about to call the vet lady but then Mommy 'membered that I got this way before when she had burnt some bread in the oven. After the dinner was out of the oven, I felt much better. Any of you other puppers afraid of da oven?
 Bonnie
She really worried us until I remembered that she is terrified of anything remotely to do with fire and smoke. Poor baby. I wonder what the story is with that.
Sandi
Not of ovens, Oliver is if anyone comes in quickly with a belt or something like that, he flattens to the floor we think in his first 18 months someone must have hit him.
Sandi as for the smoke I thought you might have been taking lessons of off of Dee Dee.
hug the wee one for us its hard to see them distressed

not afraid of smoke but my Duke :angel4: hated bleach or any cleaning products that had bleach in it. Never figured out why but he would go nuts, bark, whine and run around like a mad dog. Once we figured out that bleach was the problem all the bleach products left the house. I guess you can't very well through out the oven? :doah:
Danni hates the squirt bottle, I've never spritzed her with it. However, every time I use it she barks up a storm and pulls my pant leg.
Hallie is another one terrified of smoke. The first several times I used the oven when i got her she would run outside and sit there shaking, I thought it was my cooking  but the smell must have burnt itself out (the oven was new) because she eventually stopped doing that. She can't stand to be near smoke of any kind. I also wonder what her story is with that but a lot of times nothing has to happen to a dog to make them afraid of things. I hope that is the case for our two.
Kendall-angel was the same way. We had her from the time she was a pup so I wondered if it was some instinct that they have. Schatzi is that way a little, but not like Kendall-angel. She would disappear under the bed and shiver and shake uncontrollably.
My guys get upset too. But the thing they really hate is the smoke alarm. So everytime I start the oven they get ready. Fro some reason they think the smoke alarm is going to go off. It is very close to the oven.
Once the alarm goes off they go nuts barking.

Zack here - Mom likes to set that alarm off everytime she cooks and then she yells at us to be quiet. :dontknow:
Fin thinks the vaccum is a demon from the pits of hell.
Hey Fin! Dis is Maddewoo. When I was a much younger Woo, do you know what I did? I bitted the tail off of da fwoor dwagon (vacuum). Yes I did. It's a good thing it wasn't pwugged in or I would have gotten a permenenenent. That silenced the dwagon for a wittle while. That is until mommy and papa tooked it to da fwoor dwagon hostipital to have its tail sewn back on. Ha! Ol' dwagon got a GWAY tail instead of a matching BWACK tail. After that, the dwagon woared again and mommy and papa made sure they wound its tail up after each use. Dumb
dwagon.
Oscar says: What is wrong with everyone? The vacuum cleaner, the leaf blower, the lawn mower, and the laundry chute are all evil demons from hell! Beware!
P.S. My mum also sets off the smoke detector when she cooks. Dad says it has something to do with her cooking skills...? We don't want to hurt her feelings, so we don't mention it.
Dis is Porky Pie and I say da vacuum cleaner is da scawiest!! So are dose fire hydrant fingies!!!
Fin Says: Hey Maddewoo i did that tooo!! I chewed rite frew it!!!!! My momma and dad gots brand new one tho.. and its louder. So i hide on da couch when dey use it now. And dey wrap its tail up all da time too!!
