If you've seen the pictures I've posted of Danni you've probably noticed that she is white with black ears and spots on her back. Well a couple weeks ago I noticed several small flecks of black on her fur or should I say under her white fur. So panic mode set in and all it turned out to be were flecks of black fur under the white. Now however they are getting more prominent and there seem to be more of them. Don't panic DD it is just her fur and nothing more, but it sure looks strange, almost like someone flicked her with a paint brush loaded with black paint.

Your mommy needs to post a picture for us in your sweater !!!! And it sounds like you have a coat that is changing colors.... KEWL :thumb:
Puppy coat leaving adult coat coming in may change some more too you never know what color the will turn out.Patches had dapples or the looked like dapples when she was little hence name of Patches now no dapples???
ROTFL!! I was TOTALLY in panic mode until I got to the end! I am very happy to hear it is just puppy coat color change, Danni I'm glad you didn't have anything to worry your Mom just new cute little spots!

Marcia, it sounds like she might be a piebald (in pattern). Pies often have ticking or roaning on the white background.

When we got our Akita puppy, she had one big spot on her back. Then as she got older, she grew a whole new spot! So now she has the two, which people always point out when they see her puppy pictures!
Finnegan has also developed little random tan spots around his neck and back of his ears. Its kinda like how an old man would start going grey, even though Fin's a baby. But his mom WAS a piebald so im not surprised.
