I have been checking out space heaters on the web ... soooo many .... how do I decide?
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! They do love the warm air!!!!

Hey, it's important to keep yer weiner warm.
LOL I think that says it all!
actually looks like the old add for his masters voice. We put in reverse cycle inverters.
Funny it must be a short hair thing to sit so close only Emma used to do it with the air ducts in the floor.
roberta
What are reverse cycle inverters?
Here is Hallie's impression of "Her Master's Voice" this is an actual Emmy won by Rickie Lee Jones. If Hallie were actually listening to HER masters singing voice she'd be howling hee!

It certainly is, Ollie.
Max-angel used to lie directly atop the air registers when the heater was turned on. In the summers, he used to sun himself on the slate pathway like a lizard on a hot rock, to the point that he'd be panting, even lying still.
DD, do you usually have Emmy awards sitting around your house? How did that one come into your possession?
Fire Station close by might ask them if they are not busy at least they might be able to tell you which ones you do not want to get?
OMG The little B&T looks exactly like Finnegan!!!
DD reverse cycles are like air cons that can blow hot or cold. Inverters decreases the amount of power they use and make them, suposably more economical to run.
Roberta
Is that like our heat pumps I wonder Roberta?
You are right Katie that little guy does look a lot like Finnegan!
David we were helping Rickie move stuff out of her storage units last fall and she pulled this out of one of her trunks so we set up this shot. The trick was to drop a chunk of donut into it to get Hallie to "listen". :thumb:
SEALED OIL-FILLED RADIANT QUARTZ HEATERS!!
A dear friend of mine worked for years at the Bureau of Standards department that times things that catch on fire, like did you know that a Metro subway car can be fully engulfed in flames in something like 30 SECONDS???!!???
He said the only kind of space heater HE would ever use in these. You can throw your quilt over the top of one and while it may scorch, it won't hit its flash point, the point where it catches on fire.
Karen
P.S. This info is old, but still valid, I think. And Guinness wears sweatshirts year round to keep from shivering.
Thanks, Karen and all. The oil filled radiant heater is the one I decided on too.
Mizz eLlIe is NOT a heat seeking dog but her MaMA now has only two settings .. FREEZING or HOT FLASHES
