Title: Chew proof toy,if chewed to the red free replacement
Post by: papbouv on October 25, 2009, 04:23:32 AM
If anyone wants a chew proof toy for the destructive toy killer in your family go to   GoughNuts.com    Buddy has had his for over a year  looks brand new still now if they could come up with a stuffy to last that long they would really have something then.Buddy & Patches kill toys a fast as possible a real shame because they love them so much. My past dogs were not toy killers except maybe when they were puppies.Seems like some are toy killers some are not wonder why.Papbouv

Thank you so much for that info!!!  I have been trying to find chew proof toys for so long now.  Porky chewed through a lot of guaranteed, chew-proof toys we bought from PetCo.   They were very nice in giving our money back and sending the destroyed toys back into their compaines to prove that a little doxie chewed right through them.   We're going to try this one I think.

Wow, this is amazing. Just glanced at the site and I'll have to check them out when I have a little more time ---- rushing right now. I always laugh to myself at the idea of "indestructible" toys with dachshunds; it almost seems that there is no such thing. I remember years ago reading the packaging of a new type of Nylabone for size recommendations ----- there were several suggestions, but then a statement that for a dachshund they suggested the largest size that the pet could carry! Someone at Nylabone must have been owned by a dachshund...........!                 :thumb:

Dobermans are much worse than Dachshunds ever thought about very destructive also eating carpet, floors, drywall, blinds, they are not dogs they are goats. Its really sad some have died from obstructions and bloat most of them are young too, some one on Doberman Talk the forum had two Dobe pups they ate the Sago Palms in the yard one died the other lived but was in hospital a long time.
One had pictures the Dobe was sleeping inside the couch here was all this white fluffy stuffing all over the Dobe was about a year old Teenager. I kept Buddy crated until he was 2 years & 5 months then he is loose in the house.Poor Patches she is a trash dog if I could ever catch her might be able to stop it but never can catch the little booger. I do crate her when we leave now that it is cooler do not trust buddy and Patches running loose in the house too much size difference.Stuffies even the hard toys like the tire bitter did not last long here.I sent back a Hurly bone they sure was surprised to get it back sent me a new one for Buddy, if you send them back they recycle them make new ones. Oh Hurly bone's are long lasting Buddy just killed one hubby cut off the the ends on the other two still long enough for Buddy to carry around. Papbouv

Finnegan has to be able to destroy it or else he gets bored, so we got him a moose knuckle and its awesome. They are totally digestable and good for teeth.

Stink to high heavens though.... :dontknow:

I would get a knuckle bone but scared too it would have to go outside  if Buddy was chewing on it and hubby let Patches out since she does not know she is little she might try to take it from him. They have shared Coconuts no problems but a bone might be a different story Buddy could kill Patches easy not meaning too just trying to protect the bone.I have been on the fence about it a couple of times I know a raw bone would be great for the teeth for both of them. My motto rather be safe than sorry.
