OK the 1st one I saw was blackish had long feelers in front, had a big belly, cricket legs in back And it JUMPS I do not like bugs of any kind was in the bath tub. 2nd one was in the Utility room tried to smack it with a flyswatter did not kill it but the shop vac was near by sucked it up in the shop vac. Patches is always eating crickets/flies even a worm or two even at 3 years old. I do not want her to eat this because I'm not sure what it is or if it is poisonous live in Tulsa OK any one have any ideas. Will call the vet on Monday ask them if they know what it is I have Googled brown spider with cricket legs no luck so far spent about an hour looking at creepy crawlies. Looked at the wolf spider nope not it.
Yuck I don't like bugs especially when I don't know what they are too. Why do these guys like to eat them??? Hallie doesn't normally pay attention anymore. That's one of the few good things about winter less bugs.
Really frustrating google-ing for this thing can not find it anywhere so far will keep looking did not think it would be hard to find a spider/cricket thing.Talked to my mother when she lived at her house she had them in the garage she not lives with my younger sister. Will hunt till I find it.
Could it be a camel cricket? Here is a link. With winter coming, they are trying to get inside where it is warm. This cricket definitely has long feelers in front and the belly is more rounded. It looks a lot like your description.
