I know that I haven't posted much lately but I've been lurking.......We'd sure appreciate any spare rays for the Sarge man. He has to go see the vet on Friday and he so stresses out anymore. Friday will be vaccination update and a geriatric blood panel in preparation for a dental cleaning and tumor-growth removal at the end of the month. The vet that is going to do the dental and removal will be back to work this coming Friday from vacation so she will do the panel. She said to schedule him towards the end of the month for the other work provided that all comes back okay on his blood panel. As usual, I'm a nervous "nelly" even to have the blood panel done let alone the dental and growth removal! So, any spare rays would be appreciately not only for Sarge but for Mom to remain calm and not go off the deep-end! Thanks all! Dee
UPDATE: Just got a call from the Vet's Office and Sargey's vet will not be in tomorrow.....she has a slight cold so she is taking a sick day. I could have gotten him in with one of the other vet's but it is one that he has not ever seen. He gets so stressed as it is that I asked to have him rescheduled with his normal doctor.....she'll be back on Monday so we have an appointment for Monday afternoon. Dee

Sargey is a tough cookie. He'll be okay. Don't let the geriatric label fool you. Dachshunds tend to remain active and alert longer than many other breeds.

Clifford just had his Senior Wellness last week along with bortadello and rabies shots. We're back on prednisone to try and alleviate his chronic neck and shoulder pain. Can you say ravenous dachshund?
