Title: Boxer Shot by Tulsa OK Police
Post by: papbouv on October 01, 2009, 11:58:50 PM
Police went to a house for a Barking dog call the 10 year old boy opened the front door the Boxer went out the door onto the porch. The dog barked at the Police officer who shot the dog twice in front  of the little boy not 3 feet away watching. The Boxer made it back into the house died on the Living Room floor. The mother & owner of the dog told the Police office you shot my dog.The Police officer " Said I Do Not Care" The little boy asked if his gun was real the family's second dog a American Bulldog was wandering around in the front yard a neighbor said it had been getting in the trash. The mother feels that her son will be scar her son for some time. No Police report was found about the shooting. I thought that anytime a Police office discharged his weapon a report had to be filed and it was investigated?
I could see that the Police officer may have been startled but to shoot a barking dog that close to a child is wrong.I think I tend to agree with the mother if the dog had moved the child might have been shot.

Poor dog, hope the police department would do some about this terrible case. That's a sick policeman, blame on the authority if they do nothing about this case.

The police told there version the next day they said they went to the house neighbors had complained about loose dogs, getting into trash, and barking. The kid opened the door the police asked to speak to the parents kid was giving the police a hard time telling them no and they did not need to talk to his parents. The Boxer growled and charged the policeman that's when the dog was shot. The investigating team measured the shot because one shot hit the cement driveway said it measured at least 10 feet from the front door and was at a downward angle no way was the kid in harms way. Those are the stories a day apart in the newspaper.
