On Sunday we were nearly home from spending the week-end with friends in Melbourne and Nannie came and looked after the monsters. Our weather has been atrocious, really windy we were about 5 mins from home and wham a tree branch landed on the bonnet of the 4 wheel drive and pierced though and a scratc on the side misse the windscreen by inches. Contacted the insurance and did the rounds of the smash repairers.
Monday on the way back from Bairnsdale and repairers, we found my MUm on the side of the highway with a blow out, so fixed that. When mum and I walked later we were discussing what would be the third.........................
Yesterday, I go to a quilting stitch in, drove the twnty minutes there and due to school holidays the rest decided not to show so did some shopping and went home, I lifted my basket over from the passeger seat and must have pushed the gear stick (manual). Mum came over for Lunch and we decided not to met up later for a walk, but at 4 she rang and asked did I want to fit in a quick doggy walk. I went out opened the car door and realized it was as hot as hell stuck the key and turned on the car so I could open the windows, it jumped and and gave it enough to start it down a slope, I tried to get in thinking I had not put the hand break on, but it was on, and it went into a tree.
I was so glad the pair of them had gone round the front of the house. They were standing on the drive with the look of whats up with the car mum.
Eventually my mum turned up to see why I had not arrived, rang Nick who was on his way home. \
The car was pinned with a big branch so I had to remove that at one point after cutting through the branch my mum and I ended up on our backs when it fell on us and neither of us could stop laughing and giggling, and thats when Nick turned up.
We tried ropes to tow it out, but in the end had to phone my little brother . So now we are of to get quotes.
I have never had anything happen above 10 kilometera and hour.

GAAAAACK! Sounds like you've had yourself a time. Hope everything is rosy here on out. Kiss those furry monsters for me and TAKE CARE!
Now that you have had the third, maybe you are safe for awhile! The insurance company is going to start to wonder about you...
Thank goodness no one got hurt! It's only metal. A good body shop will have it looking like new again.
Glad that no one was hurt. Hope things will calm down for a while. Give the furbabies a hug from Hilde and me.
Darcel

Wow, Roberta!!! As the saying goes, "When it rains, it pours" and that sounds like what happened to you and your Mum! Things can only get better now!
